Established in 1999, Makon Oil and Gas Limited manufactures and markets oil and gas products and their derivatives.

In 2000 Makon Oil and Gas began to supply refined petroleum products (mainly L.P.F.O and A.G.O.) to select manufacturing and utilities companies in the lagos area.

Through a joint Venture partnership in 2003 with American Company, Jalapa Gas and Chemical Corporation, Makon Oil and Gas Limited began the process of blending and bottling of "Chemtane 2". Chemtane 2 is a new generation of industrial fuel - "The cutting fuel for cutting cost".

Makon Oil and Gas has since provided alternatives to industrial users of acetylene and thereby very strong support to the Nigerian content drive in the oil and gas industry through the supply of a cheaper cutting fuel to the fabricators.

"Chemtane 2" is blended in the Ibadan facilities of Makon Oil and Gas through a very simple process without any attendant threat to the environment, equipment or men. The supply of the product is guaranteed because it is sourced locally.
Less than 0.05% of our chemical component is imported and it can therefore be made readily available at a moment notice.

"Chemtane 2" is available presently in Nigeria in cylinders of various sizes i.e. 10kg, 25kg, and 45 kg.
